Dr. Thomas Willis is a long-life resident of Alabama. He attended Florence State University as a walk-on basketball player and graduated as an honor student with a double major in Chemistry and Zoology. He was awarded the Distinguished Military Science Graduate and then commissioned in the US Army Medical Service Corps. Dr. Willis then attended the UAB School of Dentistry and did his General Dental Practice Residency at Ft. Benning Georgia.
After five years of active duty in the US Army Dental Corps, he established a 35-year general practice in Decatur, AL. He was awarded both the Fellowship and Mastership award from the Academy of General Dentistry for his commitment of continuing education. He is a life member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, and the Alabama Dental Association. He was elected by the dentists of Alabama to the State Dental Board in which he served a seven-year term. He and his wife Jane live in Decatur and have five children and nine grandchildren.
